Last shipment of milk… 💗🐄💗

An end of an era for Bragg Homestead.
The last, bulk milk shipment, has left our farm. We knew this day was coming, but still, you can never prepare for something like this… 😭

If you could, would you please send positive energy/manifestations, & prayers, our way? We’ve been taking life day by day, & staying positive, but any love that you could send our way, would be greatly appreciated… 💗

*Thank you, to everyone, who has been a part of our beautiful, little, farm life. From milk hands, to hay crews. Truck drivers, businesses, vets, & technicians. Friends who filled in, & family, who have always been there. THANK YOU! We love you all… 💗

*To my husband Kip, YOU ARE AMAZING! What you’ve accomplished, on this farm, is absolutely incredible. You’re irreplaceable. (Did you hear me Kip? IRREPLACEABLE!!!)You are the reason, this farm, has been able to keep it’s doors open, for so long. YOU are the reason!!! Never forget that!!! You gave it your all, & from a very young age, helped build this farm, into a successful business. Be proud, because I’ve have never been more proud of anyone in my life, like I am of you. You’re a phenomenal person/worker/soul, & wherever you go, or whatever you choose, you’re going to do amazing! Just be YOU… 💗

*To our kids, Stevie, Carter, & Piper, who sacrificed so much, being “farm kids.” You’re fantastic, young adults. You understand what hard work is, & what dedication actually means. You understand that money doesn’t grow on trees, & that your father worked long hours, everyday, to provide for our family. Being raised on a farm, you grew up faster than most of your peers. The beauty of birth, & the pain of death, were always part of your lives. You kept your chins up, when Dad wasn’t able to come to one of your events. (You knew where he was, what he was doing, & that he was busting his butt, to provide for us. You also lit up, like Christmas morning, when he was able to make it.) All 3 of you, have sacrificed so much, &
I’m forever grateful, for your dedication, to your father’s dream, & your undeniable selflessness. And forever thankful, that you know, what truly matters in life… 💗

*Stevie & Carter, thank you both for working every day, (for many, many months,) without receiving a paycheck. Thank you, for showing up, & not complaining, when we had to the pay bills, instead of you. You both have made us proud! INCREDIBLY PROUD!!! No one else would do that!!! No one works for free, but you both did, time after time, & understood, that it was for the farm. For our livelihood. You both are amazing. Absolutely AMAZING!!! Thank you so much, for being there for your Dad, & helping to keep those doors open, for as long as we could. I am forever grateful, to you both… Forever grateful… 💗

Okay, I’m done rambling…
I’m going to go off & a cry for a bit…
Mooving on, to the next chapter in life…Wish us luck…💗

Sharing Kip’s April Fool’s morning:

Here it is, the first day in April… I hear mooing, from the barn this morning, as I walk out there. That sound tells me one thing, there's probably a calf on the loose! I turn on the lights, and a littlest calf, born two days ago, was running around. I took care of her, & started to push the hay in, to our older calves, and notice that one was missing. I look up, & see that she's on the other side of the barn, infront of our bull calves. So, I take care of her, & go to push the hay in, by the grain
room. When I get there, I notice that a water bowl is running over! I fix that, turn around, & see my 3-year-old bull Waylon, weighing about 800-900lbs, running around loose. After catching him, & being tossed around, like a bean bag, I finally got him hitched up! Thinking, nothing else could go wrong, we're about three quarters done milking, & Waylon's acting funny. Walking over to him, I see water spraying all over the place! He friggin busted the water pipe, off from his water bowl!!!

I'd like to say that this is an April Fool's joke, but it's not! Honestly, it just another day, in the life of a farmer, on the very 1st day of April... 🤠🐄🤠

We 💗 this community so much!!!
Thank you Helen, (& Scott Davis,) for organizing this amazing, barn raising party!!!

*Helen, I was told, that you're the angel behind this beautiful community blessing? Kip, our kids, & I/Amber, (Patty, & Wayne too,) can never thank you enough. You're a wonderful person, & we are so very thankful, for your extremely kind heart. A huge load, has been taken off of my husband's shoulders today, & I/we, are forever grateful for that. (He works so hard, & is so good to everyone. Willing to help anyone, but would never ask for help, especially for himself. So this awesome, surprise, is not only helpful, but very meaningful, & so INCREDIBLY HEARTWARMING!!!) Proof that family, friends, & community, truly are everything... 💗

These wonderful people, & YOUR ABSOLUTELY, BEAUTIFUL SOUL, have made this, a TRUE CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! Thank you Helen, THANK YOU SO MUCH... 💗

*To the people, in these photos, & the ones behind the scenes, (bringing goodies, & supplies,) THANK YOU, THANK YOU BIG!!! These moments, are the moments, that we will remember forever, & the people, (involved in making these moments happen,) are FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS... 💗

Sincerely,
Bragg Homestead

*Backstory: One of our barns were ripped apart during the wind, & rain storm, last week. It's a huge necessity, on the farm, (especially in the winter,) so our cows have another source of protection, from the weather. Having people here, to make it whole again, is honestly, the BEST gift ever... 💗🐄💗

It's beginning to look a lot like Kanas... 😳(The aftermath of 12/23/22)Ohhh this one hurts a bit, well maybe a lot...I'v...

It's beginning to look a lot like Kanas... 😳
(The aftermath of 12/23/22)

Ohhh this one hurts a bit, well maybe a lot...
I've NEVER met a person, who works as LONG, or as HARD, as my husband. He puts in 7 hours before breakfast, to head back out, & put in another 8+ hours, easily. (That's right, he works at least, 15 hours a day.) He busts his butt, never complains, & never gets a break. (Or a day off. It's been 5 years, since his last day off!!! No joke!!!)

To wake up to this, is such a kick in the gut...
My poor husband... Our poor cows...
One bonus, THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO SNOW. The negative, it's damn cold, & that's one of our barriers/protection, (from the elements,) for our cows. So along with the millions of things, already on my husband's super long "to do" list, we get to add, this lovely project to it. (Not happening now, as Christmas is upon us...)

*THE POSITIVE, & a MAJOR ONE: None of our cows were injured, during this event, & they all stayed in our yard!!! 💗🐄💗
