About 84 months ago Nate and Janah came up with an idea. An idea that none of us would have thought that it would become what it became. Our little Supper Club. ❤️ It’s been an amazing journey based around culinary exploration and friendship. With that sappy stuff said, it is with great frowns and and long faces that our monthly meetings will now be either quarterly or yearly or every 6monthly as a third of our crew is moving on up to Gods Country in MI. Oh what a crazy 7 years it has been. Lots and lots of ups and a few downs, this group has had a whole lot of fun together and is still excited to plan future events based around that gourmet s**t y’all have come to know and love. Good luck wishes to the Vergara Family as they start their new journey in Michigan.

Last weekends supper club adventures brought us tailgating… In our driveway, but still fun and highly suggested. While the weather was not cooperating with our outdoor shenanigans, we made the best of it! 😜 We had a great spread which included taco dip cups, pickle de gallo, BLT dip, 2 kinds of jalepeno poppers, cocktail weenies, sausage bread and the skewer trio of Asian steak, Cajun shrimp and wedge salad skewers along with some sweet and spicy pretzels. For dessert we had sourdough brownies and peanut butter puppy chow bars. lots of laughs, maybe a little driveway karaoke and great company! Love this crew and the fun we have together.

#80 🌺Hawaiian

This weekend we enjoyed Hawaiian food and the best company around. We started off the evening with a blue Hawaiian mocktail (or not). We snacked on some Spam Musubi and Manapua as appetizers, and then had a nice long interval for cocktails while the main course finished up. Luckily we caught the ice cream man and could survive until dinner!
Our main course consisted of Kalua pig, Poi, Luau Rice, Hawaiian macaroni salad, taro rolls, and ahi tuna poke bowls.
We rounded out the evening with Haupia and Guava Cake- yum!!

Always a blast, always so much food ❤️🌺

Last weekend we had our 78th supperclub with a theme of “Smoked” I can’t beleive after 78 supper clubs we still haven’t had a duplicate theme! We started off our night with our cocktail which was a create your own drink with a smoked simple syrup. We had smoked salsa, cream cheese and carmalized onion dip. For dinner we had a smoked fried Nashville Hot turkey sandwich, smoked pig shots and corn with smoked butter and some smoked bologna for the kids. For dessert we had some smoked brownies with an amazing smoked maple with candied smoked pecan ice cream. Now to start thinking about more themes to add to our list!

We lucked out and had supper club back to back weekends! Our theme for #78 was “bring a board”and we did it right.

Drink board: build your own lemonade board with all the fixings

App boards: Tuscan hot honey garlic butter board, sun dried tomato goat cheese board, supreme pizza ball, quesadillas, meatballs and pigs and a blanket and of course home made baguettes.

Entree board: a trip to Wurst Kitchen provided us with an amazing brat board!
Flavors included: Original, kicker, cheddar, Uber garlic, pineapple bacon, and smoked chocolate bacon.
Served alongside some homemade sourdough pretzels, homemade cheddar and potato pierogies, sauerkraut, carmelized onion, beet kraut, and a variety of mustards and a beer cheese dip.

The kid board: Hot dogs, fruits, veggies, ranch dip, homemade pretzel bites and chips.

And because that wasn’t enough food, we rounded out the night with some sweets.

Dessert board: Canoli dip, taffy apple dip, churro poppers, smores bars, rice crispy treats, grapes with white chocolate and peanuts and strawberry cheesecake bites.

Always a fun night full of amazing food!❤️❤️
