Depending on interest, I may be putting together an or 🧇 to help offset some of the costs associated with having to rebuild following last weekend’s storm. This may be a great way for you to acquire something you’ve been after that I normally wouldn’t part with. Thinking of doing chicks, hatching eggs, laying hens and/or pairs (rooster and hen). What a glorious day,
He is Risen!

Those storms last night were no joke. The winds were absolutely insane. Two of our breeding pens completely demolished and trees down. By God’s grace every single bird survived. I’m feeling so grateful this morning that our home is ok, our barn is ok and all the birds and animals are ok. We got everyone gathered up and settled into new temporary homes in the horse’s stalls where they’ll be comfortable until their coops are rebuilt.

Just LOVING these Easter Eggers from one of my test hatches earlier this year. They are so fun! I can’t wait to see them full grown and to continue to play with this little project.

One of my favorite eggs I’m getting right now is this this one. She’s being used in a pen under a rooster with homozygous blue egg genes to make first generation Olive Eggers. I just love the speckles on her egg and I can’t wait to see them on her offspring’s eggs and a shade of olive.
