Also first rendering of lard is cooling! Did you know that pork lard comes in 2nd only to olive oil for best fat? Go ahead...Google it. Not only high in monosaturated fats but it can help lower your cholesterol!

We finally picked apples and I managed to make pie filling for the whole year!
Pink pearl apples are the most exciting treat every year with a green skin and pink flesh it's fun to see how vibrant they can get when ripe. The trick is of course getting them to ripen without the apple thieves (our girls) eating them first.
It should make for an exciting pie to surprising guests with 😆

Went to a small farm social - they had no hazelnut stickers so we had to use an Acorn to represent. 🤷‍♀️

Bonus we got a second sweeper just for parts so I got to do some tractoring and pull old bess up the driveway today.
