April 2023
First farm project of the year. 100’ of fencing to replace on a property line. All overgrown. Took almost 3 hours to clear the area of overgrowth before the fence could be pulled out, including taking out a big tree right in the middle of the fence line. The tree had to be taken down in two parts and drug away by tractor.

1st cut hay all stacked. 150 bales. About half of what we will use before next years first cut. We would normally need a little less but due to this years surprises we are having to hold onto and finish out calves we would have normally sold at about 6mos. of age.
The hay on the right was baled with an older chain/bar baler, the stuff on the left with a belt baler. The bales on the right are not as tight and don’t stack as well but are actually heavier than the more solid bales on the left.
