We are not like the other farms - we like to think that our guests step back in time a few years.... We offer something a little different than the other farms - no Fall season haunting themes, no electronic games, just clean old-fashioned outdoor family and group fun. All of our events are fundraisers for the Monks of Marmion Abbey. All proceeds from Abbey Farms enables the continuation of the v

arious ministries performed by the Monks, as well. Having been in the business of creating family traditions for more than 50 years, the monks pride themselves on providing good ol’ fashioned fun for the entire family. Abbey Farms is a non-profit farm run by and for the Monks of Marmion Abbey located in Aurora Illinois started back in 1949. Since the first Christmas tree was planted in 1949, Abbey Farms has transformed into a multi season family-oriented farm. Situated on over 300 acres of beautiful farmland, Abbey Farms is one of the oldest farms open to the public in the area. From monk-grown U-Cut and Precut Christmas trees to our over 8 acre corn maze - when it comes to old-fashioned family fun, we have it all!

Come taste the sweet side of summer. 🍯🐝 Honey Fest is back at Abbey Farms on Saturday, June 27, with plenty of local honey, 50+ vendors, live beehives, and tons for the kids to do. New this year: a live butterfly release to help our pollinators take flight.

Spend the day shopping, learning, and soaking up the farm with live music, kitchen and bar, and all your favorite park attractions.

The bees are buzzing and so are we. 🐝 Honey Fest is back at Abbey Farms on Saturday, June 27, and this year we're adding something brand new: a live butterfly release to help our pollinators take flight.

Spend the day with us exploring 50+ local vendors, 7 pollinator and gardening education booths, live music from Jon Babin, kids' arts and crafts, and all your favorite park attractions: the jumping pillow, mega slide, pedal carts, and more. Grab a bite from the kitchen and bar, shop the Nagel Emporium, and soak up a sweet summer day on the farm.

With one successful event down and another on its way, we still have vendor openings for our Christmas in July Arts & Crafts Show on July 11. Outdoor vendor spaces are $40 for a 10 x 10 space. You supply the table, chairs, and your products. Hoping for 100 vendors this year and over 500 customers. Come join the fun!

Looking for a fun family outing this Saturday? Come meet some very tall, very goofy retired athletes at Dog Days at Abbey Farms! 🐾

Midwest Greyhound Adoption will be there from 10am–3pm with our adoptable greyhounds ready to make new friends, soak up attention, and show everyone why retired racers make such wonderful companions.

Bring the whole family out for a fun day filled with dogs, activities, and plenty of greyhound snuggles! Whether you’ve been thinking about adoption, want to learn more about the breed, or just want to spend time with some long-legged speed noodles, we’d love to see you there. You may even meet your new best friend!

Most people only see the finished Christmas tree.
They do not see the years of work that come before it. 🎄

Right now, we are out planting thousands of tree seedlings that will not be ready for harvest for another 7 to 8 years.

That is farming. Planning ahead. Trusting the process. Putting in the work today for families we may not even meet for years to come.

From Scotch pine to fir and spruce, the next generation of Abbey Farms Christmas trees is officially going into the ground.
