A unique Austin sushi concept is popping up inside every Tuesday in June 🪴

is the husband-and-wife project of Becca Seiler and Spencer Brown.

Together, they’re blending local farming, sustainable seafood, and Japanese technique through monthly garden dinners and made-to-order sushi pop-ups.

Spencer has cooked at some of Austin’s most respected sushi restaurants, including Komé, Uchiko, Uroko, and Este.

Becca brings her background in farming and local produce, helping shape a concept that connects Gulf Coast seafood with seasonal Texas ingredients.

Their $40 omakase box includes 10 pieces of nigiri, futomaki, and housemade pickles. Expect sustainably sourced fish, including Gulf Coast catches processed using the Japanese Ike Jime method, along with unique touches like Native Texas Persimmon Miso and Wasabi Butter.

You’ll find them inside Frond Plant Shop right next to every Tuesday in June from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Austin’s Most Interesting Sushi Pop-Up Is Back Next Tuesday 🌿 with house plants & coffee to boot

❤️

Every Tuesday in June, FOODIE & TINA is popping up at on South Lamar with omakase boxes featuring sustainable fish and seasonal local produce 🍣🐠

The project comes from husband-and-wife team Becca Seiler and Spencer Brown.

Spencer previously worked at Komé, Uchiko, Uroko, and Este, while Becca’s farming background helps shape the menu’s seasonal ingredients.

Fish is sourced as locally as possible, including Gulf Coast catches processed using the Japanese Ike Jime method.

Each box includes chef-selected nigiri with housemade finishes, pickles, and compostable packaging.

After building a following through garden omakase dinners, FOODIE & TINA has become one of Austin’s most buzzed-about sushi experiences and plans to open a permanent South Lamar location later this year 👀

This Korean fried chicken spot inside does things a little differently 👀

Before opening Puradak in Austin, owner Kate was already a fan. She says it quickly became one of her favorite places to eat when the brand opened in Dallas.

When the opportunity came to bring Puradak to Austin, she saw a chance to introduce something unique to a city that’s constantly growing and embracing new food concepts.

One thing that separates Puradak from many other fried chicken spots is its cooking method.

Each piece of chicken is oven-baked first, then fried, creating a lighter texture while maintaining the crunch Korean fried chicken is known for.

Popular flavors include Black Aglio, Chili Mayo, Sweet, Mabulro, and Corn So Amazing. Black Aglio is one of the brand’s signature flavors, featuring crispy chicken topped with roasted garlic and a savory glaze. Garlic fans can also look forward to a new flavor, Mad Garlic, arriving this July 🧛‍♂️

Kate’s biggest recommendation is easy, eat it fresh if you can. She says the chicken is at its best straight from the kitchen while it’s still hot and crispy.

If you’re taking it to go, leave the box open for a few minutes after receiving it to help keep the skin crisp.

👽 WHERE TO WATCH GAME 7 👽

IF YA LOVE BAR FOOD & THE SPURS, this post is for you 🫡

If you love flopping and the erosion of the sport of basketball, this post is not for you 👀😂

I’ve spent a lot of time consuming calories to be in this position; recommending places to watch sports and eat amazing food…here we go;

• get the wings and a cannon ball
• I recommend the buffalo chicken nachos or quesadilla
• get the wings Jesse style
• whole menus safe, get anything
• .tavern not 100% they’re showing the game but I am thinking their patio will show it 👀 if so, whole menu is good to go
• no brainer, it’s all fire
• small but powerful menu
• underrated menu - prob the most complex in this list but the staples hit too
• if you’re goin to be at - I highly suggest getting one of those giant tlayudas 🤜🤛
