A few years back when I was working at Nari in SF, I met Chef Kevin .is.sleepy. We clicked instantly over stuff like WWE wrestling and Blackpink vs Twice debates - but ultimately, over our appreciation for our families’ Viet comfort food.
When the pandemic shut everything down, Kevin had this idea for a pop-up called Claws of Mantis. I jumped in and we built it together - Vietnamese home cooking, our way. Stuffed chicken wings, uni bánh bèo, cá nướng and more. From casual bar bites to curated tasting menus. Honestly one of the most fun times I’ve ever had cooking 🔥
Eventually, I moved back home to Austin while Kevin kept it going in SF. But we always talked about reuniting someday…
And that someday is NOW ✨ In two weeks on Oct 11, we’re bringing to Austin for ONE WEEKEND ONLY at Măm Măm.
Details on times and menu coming soon. But for now, we just wanted to share our excitement with y’all 💥 Can’t wait to cook with my brother again 🫰🫰
