Labor Day Weekend - Great day for some BBQ competition! We survived another hot 🔥 day amongst friends! Huge thanks to our hosts and volunteers at the VFW Post 7110!

Congrats to the 🏆 Champions and all tough competitors!

After taking the summer off, Blue Smoke Crew made the trip to Edna TX for the API 2026 BBQ Cookoff and Inventational Team Roping event.

It was a tough field with several top teams but we survived the heat and were pleased with our turn ins, receiving our 1st Reserve Grand Champion finish! Shout out to Grand Champion Turn'd UP BBQ Team and to Salty Dawg Cookers for hosting the after party!

Back in March, Blue Smoke Crew had the pleasure of competing at the 2026 BBQ Austin cookoff with Texas Trillgate Grillin and Smokin. One of our biggest cookoffs with 252 teams, we're grateful for results! Thanks to Homer Lopez for offset pit and shout out to Bert Alcala Lopez for running awesome Rodeo tailgate party! We survived the storm and had a blast.

Blue Smoke Crew headed out to Austin Tx for the Blues Brews & BBQ IBCA cookoff hosted at Suds Monkey Brewing. We weathered all the rain and had a great time.

Our Chicken knocked us down but with Muchacho Gabe great Brisket and our Ribs we finished 6th overall out of 19th tough teams!

Blue Smoke Crew made the trip to Bandera TX for the BBQ In Bandera Cookoff hosted at the Antler Oaks Lodge and RV Resort. With a stacked competition we were excited to hear our song played for a 10th place finish with our Ugly Bird🐔.

Blue Smoke Crew traveled to New Braunfels for Cooking Up A Cure hosted by VFW Post 7110 off of the Guadalupe River. It was a great charity event to help children with cancer.

Out of a stacked and competitive field of cookers we hit with a call for Gabe's 10th place ribs!

Overall finish 18th out of 36 teams.

Always great to keep the momentum going with a call.
