Ever wonder why winemakers even bother with including 1% of a particular grape in a blend?

As it turns out, even tiny ratios can make a noticeable splash—sometimes in surprising ways.

For example, 1% Cabernet Franc can impart a floral quality to the blend. 1% Malbec, on the other hand, can add a touch of juiciness.
