Momma hen tries to feed her chicks bread for the first time. She’s pulling it apart and dropping bite size crumbs for them but they’re not very interested. You can almost hear her saying “come on you guys, just try it.” 😅
They’ll be penned in this coop for another month before free ranging. At this size they’re just a snack for a cooper hawk or red tail or even worse…likely to drown in the water troughs.
