We were deeply grieved to hear of the sudden passing of our friend, Mike Rushnok Jr., from a heart attack in his sleep.

Charlotte’s Webb Farm will always be indebted to Mike for the work he did here in 2021–2022. When we bought this old house in dilapidated condition, it needed a strong hand, a creative mind, and someone willing to tackle the seemingly impossible.

Team Rushnok—father and son—hand-beveled pine planks to replace exterior boards, slid across the old slate and metal roofs to stop leaks, gutted and rebuilt the first story living room, installed walls, flooring and doors, and repaired years of damage with remarkable craftsmanship and artistic devotion.

Mike came into the story of this farm at exactly the right time, and his work became part of its restoration and its future.

We will always be grateful for him, and we ask that you keep the Rushnok family in your prayers as they endure this tremendous loss.

We will never forget him.

The honeybees are working hard to gather golden rod pollen for their brood. This organic grape, berry and w**d patch is next to the bee box. In the background you can see the colony cleaning the frame we harvested honey from.
