Beaverdam Farm & Rescue

I do breed Nigerian Dwarf Goats and have raised a variety of chickens, ducks, and geese. I don’t actively breed my animals but do it occasionally every year or every other year. I had focused on breeding show Ameraucanas, French Black Copper Marans and bantam Cochins but of course life got in the way. I have started over in the last year and now slowly inching my way back into the swing of things.

I also take in unwanted animals and give them a place to live out the rest of their lives in peace. I provide vet care and all the necessary amenities they need to thrive. I have been rescuing since I was in my teens and it started with stray cats. I have a lot of experience when it comes to bottle feeding or caring for animals with disabilities.

• Every rescue that comes here is quarantined first, given appropriate medications (like deworming, vaccinations, feet trimmed) and then migrated into a proper area. I like to keep family groups together and slowly integrate animals with existing animals. Some animals do well by themselves and some need the company of others, so everyone who comes here is based on a personal basis of their needs. •
