Progress pics of our homemade broiler chicken shelter. Heavy enough to stay put, but light enough to move easily into new untouched grass with feed and water buckets hanging inside. We don’t have any meat birds yet so we decided to put our new batch of five week old laying chicks in it to give them more room to run around as they get bigger. At five weeks old they are already eating grasshoppers they find under the shelter. Just moved it to a new patch this morning and they acted like I just opened up a new buffet for them. Happy chicks.
