After inspecting our black raspberry fields this week, we have determined that unfortunately our pick-your-own season has come to an end. Thank you to everyone who supported us this year. We hope to see you at our markets and festivals and look forward to welcoming you back to the berry farm next summer!

Today we’re celebrating a very special milestone for the heart of Swope’s Berries and Bees — our parents, Ron and Kathy Swope, are marking their 50th wedding anniversary!

For five decades they’ve poured their love, hard work, and faith into each other, and our family. Everything you’ve come to know about Swope’s is rooted in the life they built together.

If you’ve picked berries, bought their honey, talked bees around the hive, visited their booth on festival weekends, or simply followed our farm family over the years, you’ve felt their legacy in some way.

We’d be honored if our customers, friends, and family would join us in congratulating them on this golden anniversary — please drop a note for them in the comments to help celebrate their 50 years of marriage.

Thursday, July 9th will be our next day for pick-your-own black raspberries ($7.65/lb). We will begin picking promptly at 8 am and conclude by 11 am or when all the ripe berries have been picked (whichever comes first). Please note that, as we are near the end of the season, there are a limited number of ripe berries.

Containers are provided, and no appointment is needed. Closed-toed shoes are required. Cash or Venmo preferred; card and Apple Pay accepted with a service charge.📍366 Willow Road, Avella, PA 15312.

While we do not have pick-your-own blueberries this year (due to Mother Nature), we have some picked blueberries on site for purchase. We look forward to welcoming you to our family run berry farm!
