Hi everybody, we are sold out of bread for the day. I’m very sorry!

Our pop-up larger box-lunch orders are starting to become a regular thing—which is great, but they’re burning through bread that used to be enough to get us through lunch. I’m going to scale up our daily bread order so we can continue taking those larger orders without leaving everybody else sandwichless.

Hi everybody!! We’re going to roll back the same specials from last week. One, because I like all of them. Two, because I have quite a bit going on, so it makes my life a little easier.

It’s been so busy around here lately!!!!!!

Isabelle, who if you come into the shop you know likes to say that we’re “thriving,” has recently added that I’m thriving on a cloud. 💀

You know something? She’s right.

If you would’ve told me six months ago this is where we would be, I would’ve laughed right in your face. I sometimes don’t give myself a lot of credit, but I really have been patting myself on the back lately for what I’ve built here. It’s pretty cool.

Anyway, thanks for listening to my bu****it.

Thank you so much for a crazy-busy week!!!!!

Today, though, would not have happened without a little help from our friends.

I used to have the biggest piece-of-sh*t slicer in the entire world. Then I found a beautiful old Hobart at an auction, and when I first got her, I hugged her even harder than I hugged the oven from a few weeks ago.

Well, today the old girl took a sh*t—and slicer repair people are apparently some of the most elusive people on Earth.

I’m not from this area, so I don’t really know that many people, but recently I’ve become “best friends” with a The Emilie from Emilie's Coffee House & Wine Bar. I remembered that they make toast, so I messaged her and asked if they had a slicer—and if I could send Chuck over there to slice a whole bunch of meat.

She absolutely saved the day.

Today was the biggest sales day we’ve EVER had at the sandwich shop!! ❤️

We had to pause online ordering a few times for 15–20 minutes to keep up with everyone in the shop and make sure we were putting out food the way it should be.

But I gotta tell you—everyone who worked today fu***ng KICKED ASS. I wanted to hop on here and publicly thank them for working so hard, caring about what we do, and putting up with me 😂

I couldn’t do this without you, and I appreciate the hell out of all of you.

I hope everybody who came in today got great food, because that’s really all that matters to me. Thank you all so much for turning this into an actual business!! It’s pretty fu***ng surreal. ❤️

It wasn’t that long ago—maybe three years—that I was still driving Uber until all hours of the night to supplement my income while trying to get this business going.

So the fact that you choose to spend your money here is greatly appreciated. I know we’re all dealing with financial constraints, and that is never lost on me. I really do go out of my way to offer as much value as humanly possible—sometimes to my own detriment. 😳

Our bakery has raised its bread prices twice. Obviously, they’re facing increased costs of their own and have to do what’s best for their business, just like we do. Because of that, I’ve had to make the decision to raise our regular sandwich prices by $1.

Starting today, all regular sandwiches will be $14 instead of $13. The value meals and $20 box lunches will remain the same.

I know $14 is still vastly less than what many of our competitors charge for the quality and amount of food you receive—and neither of those things will ever change.

Thank you for continuing to choose us. I genuinely appreciate it.

Another week starts tomorrow! We have a bunch of new food and we’ll also be one inspection closer to moving forward with seats!!!

I just want to remind everybody again as it gets closer: the sandwich shop will be CLOSED Saturday, September 19th through Monday, September 28th. We reopen Tuesday, September 29th!

Thank you one more time for our ever-growing business. We appreciate it so much. I’ll get some fried green tomater pics in the morning!
