❤️ A LITTLE HEART-TO-HEART WITH OUR FARMSTAND FAMILY ❤️
Y’all, we want to take a minute tonight to share something that’s been weighing a little heavy on our hearts.
First, we want y’all to know just how much we love our little farmstand and the community that has supported us over this past year. What started as a little dream has become something so special to our families, and we are incredibly thankful for every single one of you. ❤️
Unfortunately, when we closed up tonight and went over everything, there was a significant difference between what had been purchased and the payments we received.
As most of y’all know, we operate on the honor system. We understand that mistakes happen! Maybe something wasn’t added up correctly, maybe a payment didn’t go through, or maybe an item was simply overlooked. We certainly hope that’s all it was.
Look, we get it! Life gets busy, we’re all juggling a hundred things, and goodness knows we’ve all made mistakes! That’s why we even have a calculator available right there in the stand to help with adding up purchases. Please don’t hesitate to use it! We’d much rather everyone take an extra minute to double-check than have something accidentally missed. ❤️
We don’t ever want to assume the worst of anyone.
But we do want to gently remind everyone that behind this little stand are three families who pour their hearts into making it what it is.
There are hours upon hours spent planning, shopping, baking, preparing, packaging, labeling, cleaning, and doing all those behind-the-scenes things that most folks never see.
We absolutely LOVE what we do, but just like everyone else, we simply cannot afford to work for free.
This month we’re celebrating ONE YEAR of The Farmstand on Riverdale, and our prayer is that we’ll be celebrating many more! ❤️
But in order to keep our doors open and our stand stocked, we need our honor system to work.
So we’re asking our farmstand family to please take an extra moment to double-check your purchases, add up your totals carefully, and make sure your payments have gone through.
Unfortunately, tonight’s difference was significant, and it’s something our little stand simply cannot afford to happen regularly.
Please know this post isn’t meant to point fingers or accuse anyone. We just believe in being open with the community that has helped us grow.
We love y’all, we appreciate y’all, and we truly hope to continue serving this community for many years to come.
Our little stand runs on a whole lot of hard work, a little bit of faith, and a whole lot of trust. Let’s keep it that way. ❤️🌾
