This past weekend, we held our annual Pickering Picnic & Olympics 🌟🏅

Every August, we celebrate our employees by hosting our own version of the Olympics with farm themed events. Its always a bittersweet party as many of our employees are heading back off to school. We always miss them when they leave!❣️

Kemar surprised everyone by taking home GOLD in his first Olympics after recovering from losing the corn shucking contest to Mikayla by a fraction of a second. The corn shucking contest had to go to official replay review to determine the winner. Third place had to be determined with a blemished produce shot put playoff between Cole & Mikayla. Needless to say, this year’s competition was a fierce one!

Red Haven peaches are in 🍑🍑! Stop in to grab one, two, or a few this weekend. We also have our own white sweet corn, spray-free homegrown red raspberries, and homegrown blackberries.

If you haven’t heard, this year’s northeast Ohio peach crop was devastated by a harsh winter and a late freeze in April. We are fortunate our local orchard was able to source these from a farm in Michigan that was spared from the harsh weather. The season will likely end earlier than normal so don’t miss your chance!

Tomato season is finally upon us! We are now starting to pick our own tomatoes grown right behind the market. We plant our fields to ensure we can harvest tomatoes all the way through October.

Farm Update! 📣📣 This is our favorite time of year as we have all of the fields behind our market planted with our own sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, kale, basil, Swiss Chard, herbs, or pumpkins. There is so much green and everything is bursting with color!

We will be picking our own sweet corn daily from now until the season ends in mid-October. How do you like to prepare our sweet corn?

📣FARM UPDATE: We will have southern Ohio super sweet, sweet corn from now until we start picking our own in about 10-15 days. We are open July 4th from 10am-3pm and normal hours every day.

We will also have Ohio tomatoes, homegrown pickles, peas, onions, raspberries (black and red), squash, Michigan blueberries, South Carolina freestone peaches, Washington cherries, melons, and much more!
