Looks like we are coming out of winter with 6 good hives! Last year we expanded to 8 hives so we lost two over the winter. With these temperature swings, I am pretty happy with 75%. The hives have been de-winterized and I can see the girls are starting to bring pollen in (look for the yellow dots in their feet in the second picture)!

What a gorgeous weekend to Bee outside. Holly took the opportunity to do a little late winter Health Evaluation on her Bees. Dave was close by, pruning our Apple, Pear, & Persimmon trees.

72° & partly sunny, light breeze out of the southeast, it’s a blackberry picking kind of morning!

Spent the afternoon planting Grey Dogwoods. Got 24x in the ground, watered, staked, & tubed. I’ll do mulch tomorrow morning. Down to only 500 trees/shrubs left in the driveway awaiting to plant 😜.
