Island Farm Island Farm is a locally owned family farm growing the finest organic vegetables and raising the tastiest, fresh, chemical-free beef.

We are a family operated farm in Avon along the Sandy River selling grass-fed beef, organic hay, naturally raised and free range meat birds. We also grow 3 acres of organically grown vegetables. During Spring and Early Summer we offer seedlings and fiddleheads in season. Short farm tours available. Contact us by phone or email.

At Island Farm we were very conscious of our farming and growing practices. If Sadie’s 4-H awards were here the wall would be covered! Our second year I entered some vegetables at the Farmington fair and the last few years I’ve had the privilege of judging! A few vegetable ribbons as well as Sadie’s Fryeburg fair ribbons!

The river is always changing and so is Island Farm .New owners are busy tilling in the pasture.
Thank you to all our customers who supported our farm by buying a variety of meats, vegetables and hay from us over the past twenty years.
An explanation of the boulder: when we moved here we could jump off this and into a deep pool of water of the Sandy River and now the beach area is full of tree growth.
