So far we are off to a rocky start for peach season. My optimism got the best of me. A lot of the peaches we were hoping to pick ended up going bad. In the span of two days half of the entire crop was gone. Our late season peaches will come and go fast (If we even open at all). Hoping for a better crop next year. As in life in general, there’s only so much that’s within my control.

U-pick season is expected to begin about a week from now. Because of the spring frost the crop is limited. This is the beginning of the season and will have more peaches available towards the end of August. Prices are $20 a peck and $80 per bushel. Thank you for your understanding as my expenses have risen drastically. This is a small family farm trying to stay profitable.

After scouting the peach orchards it appears to be about 30-40 percent of a crop. I have a feeling the season will come and go quick. I’ve had a lot of outreach and I apologize if I didn’t get back to some of you. It’s been a challenging season with loosing the cherries. Thanks to all who have supported the farm!
