It was such a great day at the farmers market! At we had our 40th Anniversary Festival and so many people showed up to celebrate with us!

Our friends from ran the Tomato Tasting Table for us and did such a nice job sharing the joy of tomatoes with everyone who stopped by.

I went home with lots of great goodies from the market peaches from Winona Orchard, cookies from Gotta Have Cookies, coffee from and some tomatoes from my farm!

Tonight, I made dinner using ingredients from the farm... potatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, eggs, tomatoes and a drink made with homemade strawberry shrub 🥰

Come on out to Cowtown Farmers Market on Saturday, June 13th from 8am-12pm for our 40th Anniversary Festival! We'll have extra vendors, giveaways and a tomato tasting table along with our regular vendors and food trucks 🤗

WHERE ARE ALL THE TOMATOES?

It's a fair question and we've heard it plenty of times this year so far. It's June and tomatoes are still hard to find at the farmers market.

We're sad about it too, trust me. 😔

Tomatoes are late this year because of the weather. We've had a lot of fluctuating temperatures since the beginning of the year and a lot of rainy, cool days recently with a lot of cloud cover. Dramatic winters and wet springs really delay some of the crops and that's what happened this year.

So, they are on their way! They are just 2-3 weeks late.

In the meantime, head over to on Saturday, June 13th for our 40th Anniversary Festival and partake in our Tomato Tasting Table. Try the different varieties available at the market and chat with the farmers about buying some to take home!

We also have lots of other great produce at the market right now! The market is full of peaches, squash, peppers, potatoes, onions, leafy greens, mushrooms, microgreens and so much more to enjoy while you wait for tomatoes.

Well! It looks like all of our hard work this year is finally reflected in the harvest for the week!

We'll have LOADS of LEEKS!

We had the opportunity to enjoy a delightful dinner at for their Around the Farm menu. Our produce was used throughout the menu along with several other local farms for a beautiful and delicious evening.

Chef Molly and Kyle at Ellerbe purchase produce from us and other local farms to create seasonal dishes throughout the year. They really do a wonderful job adjusting to the fluctuating availability of different items and are really able to go with flow. Truly farm to to table which is hard to find in DFW.

I'm grateful we got the chance to experience their wonderful creations tonight along with the wine pairings. Everything was great.
