Rancho Vasquez Over 3,200 certified organic avocado trees on approximately 100 acres of rich avocado farmland.

Now open to the public and restaurants on the weekends, check weekly post for farm stand hours Rancho Vasquez has been organic for years, even before the time came when it was necessary to be certified organic. Organic practices have been handed down from generation to generation in the Vasquez family. Some of the first avocados arriving in California were planted in the San Gabriel Valley and our micro-climate and rich soil are perfect for avocados. Rancho Vasquez is the only avocado orchard left in the San Gabriel Valley, nestled in the foothills of Azusa. The pride and hard work that goes into caring for each tree is immeasurable.

Short off-season break for Rancho Vasquez!

Our Organic Avocado Farmstore in Azusa is temporarily closed while we prep for another amazing season.
We’ll be back for opening weekend in early November-stay tuned for the official date!

In the meantime, we’re dreaming of those rich, buttery Fuerte Avocados grown right here in Azusa soil!

Our last Farm Store weekend for the Reed avocado season! Farm stand will close for a few months after this weekend so come by this weekend to stock up on your favorites:

Avocado trees may look delicate, but they’re surprisingly tough! 🌿 Once established, they can handle the hot Southern California sun…even those 100°+ summer days we know all too well! ☀️🔥

With proper irrigation and care, these resilient trees keep growing, thriving, and producing the delicious avocados we love all summer long. 🥑💚

There’s a lot more strength behind those beautiful green leaves than meets the eye! 🌱

Living on an avocado ranch is such a luxury…the kind that lets you step outside and escape into nature whenever you need to. 🥑🌿

Took a stroll on Rancho Vasquez hoping to find a little peace and quiet, and instead, found these beautiful deer enjoying the outdoors too. They were completely unbothered, simply eating, soaking up the sunshine, and taking in the day. 🦌☀️

For a few moments, everything felt still. No noise. No rushing. Just the peaceful beauty of nature all around.

Feeling grateful to live in a place where an escape to nature is just a walk away 🫶

Mature avocado trees are true oxygen powerhouses (and natural air cleaners).

A healthy, full-grown avocado tree can release well over a hundred pounds of oxygen a year while absorbing CO₂ from the air. Just a couple of big, thriving ones make a meaningful contribution to the fresh air a household breathes.
