Originally from Austria, Heidi learned to bake from her mother and grandmother, carrying those family traditions into everything she makes. Her baking has even earned praise from The New York Times! ❤️

Tomorrow she’ll have delicious peach, apple, blueberry, lemon & chocolate tarts, plus a special 4-flavor combo tart!

Hello, Long Island!

If you've spent any time in Montauk or visited the farmers market there, you may already know Bo from Manor Sangria! Until recently, Montauk was the only farmers market Bo attended on Long Island, so we feel very lucky to have him with us at the Babylon Village Farmers Market for a few special Sundays. Those Sundays are coming to an end soon, so get to the market tomorrow or next Sunday before he's gone!

Authentic Italian Green Beans and Potatoes 🇮🇹🥔

This simple Italian side dish combines tender potatoes, crisp green beans, red onion, and a flavorful homemade vinaigrette. It’s fresh, delicious, and ready in about 30 minutes!

Ingredients:

• 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
• 1½ pounds baby potatoes, halved
• ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion
• ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
• 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
• Salt and black pepper, to taste
• 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or basil

Directions:

Place the potatoes in a pot of salted water and boil until fork-tender, about 12–15 minutes.
Add the green beans during the final 4–5 minutes of cooking. Drain everything well and allow it to cool slightly.
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
Place the potatoes, green beans, and red onion in a serving bowl. Pour the vinaigrette over the vegetables and gently toss.
Finish with fresh parsley or basil. Serve warm, at room temperature, or chilled.
