Our honey bees are sticking close to home today, working the flowers like they know something’s brewing in the weather. I’m pretty sure they can sense the rain coming — they’ve been busy but not wandering far.

We are gearing up for the holiday weekend!
Catch us at Pine River Market Square on Friday from 1:30–5:30, and then Saturday & Sunday at Strictly Mushrooms LLC Vendor Market from 10–2.

We’re bringing a limited batch of our honey caramels, plus honey toffee for the sweet‑toothed crowd. And making its big debut this weekend — our new Caramel Apple Creamed Honey.

Come celebrate the long weekend with something delicious from the hive.

I really wanted to wait until September… but I think it’s time.
Pumpkin Spice Honey is arriving a couple days early!Summer isn’t over yet, but those cooler nights are already nudging us toward fall flavors — and this jar is the perfect bridge between the two.

I haven’t made our honey caramels yet this year, but I’m thinking about whipping up a special batch for Labor Day weekend.

I set out to make choke cherry jelly yesterday… while wearing a white shirt. You can guess how that went. One batch of jelly later and I was standing there in a pink‑splattered mess that looked like modern art. So instead of fighting the stains, I leaned in. I soaked the whole shirt in the leftover choke cherry pulp and now I’ve got a hand‑dyed purple shirt that’s basically a limited‑edition “seasonal harvest” fashion statement.

And, true to tradition, my choke cherry jelly didn’t set up. It never does. So once again I’ve got choke cherry syrup — delicious, just not what I intended.
Sometimes the best things come from the mess.
