Introducing… Wanda 🎀💗 (pictured left)

We tallied up the votes and Wanda came out on top! 🥹 Thank you to everyone who voted and helped us name our sweet new girl. We think it suits her pretty well!

And since apparently we’re on a roll with baby cows… we need YOUR help again! 😂

It’s a 💙!

This little guy is already proving he has quite the personality! 😂 He is somewhat of an escape artist and has already decided that staying where he’s supposed to is merely a suggestion 🤦🏼‍♀️ So far he’s been frolicking in the backyard and sleeping behind the haybine in the shed 🥴

It’s been an exciting Saturday morning around here 🤪🥳

We knew Winnie was close and being a first time heifer we wanted to watch her closely with her labor so we decided to put her in the corral for a few days and left Maple in with her to keep her company. She was getting up and down quite a bit yesterday evening so we took Maple out of the corral with her. When we woke up this morning, we found a little surprise waiting for us… a brand new calf standing beside her, with momma busy licking her little one 🥹
At first, I was convinced it was the other mama’s calf that somehow made its way into the corral. 😂 But sure enough, it was her sweet babe! She is already doing such an amazing job as a first time mom 🥲 We couldn’t have asked for a better first calving experience for her, I’m so proud!!!!

Now we just need to figure out one very important detail…

The wait is finally over for this mama and we finally have a new little set of hooves in the pasture 🎉

Mama and baby are doing well so far. Getting to experience calving is truly one of the most amazing parts of raising cattle. Watching a new life come into the world and seeing that first moment between mama and baby is something pretty special 🥹🤎

At 8 months pregnant, she’s not taking any chances. Summer pregnancy is no joke 🫣 I think she has officially moved into the mud puddle until further notice lol

Things are drying up over here and the girls spent a bit of the afternoon on this pretty day in the salon! 😂 Caught them after their “blowout” 💁‍♀️ with a few treats in them… even though they’ll be back to mud mode in about 10 minutes 🤦‍♀️
