B & N THROWBACK THURSDAY !!!!
Rusty Newton the 2nd generation of the B & N was a BALLER who fortunately for Buckshot got taught a lot about business from his uncle.
Rusty bought b & n from his founding mom and dad Betty and Garnett in 1988 at a very young age of 24 or 25. He redid a lot of things and owned it until 2014 which is a LONG TIME !!
He ended up opening TWO stores in nearby Shelbyville!
One store had a Blimpie Sub Shop in it. The other store he had was connected between a bank and a White Castle.
Buckshot’s job was saved by Rusty in 1997 after someone turned in the B & N for CHILD LABOR, by becoming his legal guardian !
Buckshot is very fortunate to have had an uncle like him and definitely respects his entrepreneurial abilities!
