It is spring ( almost) and people are still trying to buy a tree at Architectural Trees. We have not been in the tree business for two years now and we are not sure yet if we will continue 'Accent on Annuals' this year or not. Health issues have been the focus lately. I have enjoyed all of my customers and it brings me great joy to see some of the trees from the nursery out in the landscapes of Durham,Chapel Hill and Raleigh.

Blueberry Picking is easy this year.
Somehow, we managed to have survived the late freezes, and the berries are the most numerous in years. Climax, Premier, Brightwell, and Powderblue are varieties that are ripe. We are open Wednesdays 8:30 to noon, and Saturdays 8:30 to 2pm. Any changes from this schedule will be on the Blueberry Hotline: 919-471*5363.

Saturdays - we are at the Durham Roots Farmers' Market at Northgate ( theatre side). The nursery is open only by appointment on Saturdays.
We have a great selection of tomato starts, pepper starts, and colorful annuals and perennials. Our trees continue to be on our 50% off sale.

The patented coleus from Terra Nova came in today. Great colors and leaf shapes. Tiny plugs will turn into handsome plants in four to five weeks. Look forward to 'Jillian', 'Lucus', and 'Pink Poodle'. Somehow the names seem to fit the plant!
