Yes, we can grow greens in the winter! We’ll have some beautiful spinach freshly harvested from our hoop house this Saturday in Baileys Harbor town hall, 10am-2pm. Gotta come early for the greens 🙂 we’ll also have farm fresh eggs, rainbow carrots, cabbage, potatoes, and herbal teas.

We’re back from our staycation with some good news. Our Community Supported Agriculture program is now accepting new members! We’ve got 10 week or 20 week options. Winter market is tomorrow, Saturday the 8th from 10-2 at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall. There is going to be a good turnout of vendors coming. We’ll be bringing rainbow carrots, farm fresh eggs, potatoes, cabbage, Wisconsin-grown herbal teas, and a new batch of dried flower wreaths for year round decorating. (That’s me standing in our friends dahlia field, some of which are in the wreaths 😍)

We can hardly believe it either, this little experiment was officially a success! We’ve got two more markets this month and we’ll have greens for both along with turnips, rutabaga, potatoes, garlic, kale, rainbow carrots, Wisconsin grown herbal teas from and homemade dried flower wreaths from the farm featuring lavender from Door County Lavender and Lemon 🙂 markets are at Baileys Harbor Town Hall, Saturday 10-2, December 11 and 18th.
Back by popular demand! Handmade-homegrown dried flower wreaths measuring about 14” across featuring sage, bunny tails, celosia, lunaria, globe amaranth and dahlias 😍 $45 each. They will be for sale at the Baileys Harbor Farmers Market Saturday, 10-2.
It’s still salad season in the Criswell house! We are so happy to be able to grow greens and cold hardy vegetables in December we just wish we would have planted more! Come get your bag of greens at the Baileys Harbor town hall Saturday, we open at 10am.

I had time to make a few smaller sized dried flower wreaths this week per customer request. The flowers and foliage are from my flower garden and the lavender is from Door County Lavender and Lemon. We’ll be bringing lettuce mix, spinach, rainbow carrots, fresh salad turnips, potatoes, beets, onions and garlic, Swiss chard, kale and red and green cabbages to market tomorrow December 4th at Baileys Harbor Town Hall 10-2. We took a trip this week to visit our friend Tony and stocked up on Wisconsin’s best herbal teas for you all to try! We hope to see you tomorrow!
It’s a beautiful day to do some grocery shopping at your local market. Koepsel’s is open for the last weekend of the season and we’re here from 10-4 today with fresh veggies!
We’ll be at Koepsels Market today in Baileys Harbor from 10-4 with lots of good stuff. The market goes all weekend but we’re only going to be there today. Come early for fresh greens :) Lettuce mix, arugula, carrots, turnips, radishes, potatoes, beets, rutabagas and cabbages.

We are so excited to be bringing fresh greens, roots, and onions to market tomorrow along with a great selection of storage crops like potatoes, carrots, garlic, onions, rutabagas and beets. We have been able to work on some new projects this fall along with farm cleanup. This is our new compost system we’re using on the farm. In a few more days the pile should reach a temperature of about 160 F.

The sun is shining this morning, it’s a beautiful day in the harbor and we’ve got the last of the broccoli, a special delicious green called mâche, radishes, red cabbage, beets, spinach, and lettuce mix. We hope to see you today at our last outdoor market 9-1 in Baileys Harbor.
It’s been a great week wrapping things up outdoors. We visited some farmer friends and they shared some of their dahlia bounty with us 😍 the garlic has been planted and the cover crop is coming in strong. The last outdoor market of the season for us is tomorrow in the town square. It’s a bittersweet time since we’ve enjoyed coming to the Baileys Harbor farmers market with our produce since May and meeting so many new folks. We are encouraged by how many people love our produce and we are excited to continue doing this rewarding work, thank you for showing up week after week! We’ll post updates about the indoor winter market as we get closer. Until then, stock up on some beets, rutabaga, arugula, head lettuce, radishes and eggs tomorrow.

We said goodbye to our CSA customers for the season this week. 20 weeks of beautiful vegetables, it’s hard to believe it’s over! But we’re still harvesting and coming to Baileys Harbor Farmers Market tomorrow rain or shine with these vegetables and more! Greens are in season including spinach, arugula, head lettuce, and our lettuce mix pre-washed and spun dry. Only a few markets left so we’d love to see your smiling faces while we can!
Hey all, Tyler and Allison are doing a little pop up market down in Jacksonport Tuesday! It’s supposed to be a beautiful day so if you didn’t get your greens fix Sunday we’ll have plenty more tomorrow! All pre-washed and spun dry, spray-free and delicious.
