This morning the cow herd decided to move themselves back across the road to their lot where they freshen. Thank God they made it across the road safely! They were just standing at the gate to the maternity lot waiting for Paul to open it up for them. Funny, they didn't wait for him to open the hot wire in their winter pasture!

Sold the 2009, now yearling calves, this week to a buyer who will finish them out as grass fed animals for market. We were pleased with their overall growth and they looked pretty darn nice. Paul has worked very hard for a span of 30+ years to achieve the outstanding animals that we now produce consistently at Lazy Waters Beef Farm. We kept two steers to finish for ourselves and/or as freezer trade this fall.
