The Fire & Brimstone show gave us plenty to celebrate this year. Four rings, two days, and a great time with some amazing people and delicious warm food.

The senior does got us started, with SilverFire Pez (our first milking daughter from CA Blackberry's TB Lunar!) , kicking off the weekend by earning Grand and finishing her championship as a yearling! SilverFire My Pride Says picked up reserve, but it was SilverFire Bobby Joe who had a fantastic start to the weekend, taking our first Best of Breed. Ring 2 brought another grand from SilverFire Eases My Mind, with SilverFire My Pride Says picking up her second reserve of the day. Bobby Joe came back even stronger, taking Best of Breed again and then going on to win Best in Show.

The junior girls followed suit, SilverFire No Limit got the juniors started with the first junior grand of the show, while SilverFire Betty Jo Thelma Liz took Reserve. Not to be outdone, SilverFire Hold My Own earned grand in ring 2 with SilverFire Jim Beam hot on her heels taking reserve and adding to her little blue rosette stack at home.

After finishing the junior show, it was time to bring the bucks out, who of COURSE were on their best behavior in October. *B SilverFire Aces Never Lie came out of ring 1 to earn Grand and finish his championship. But it was CH Sunflower Farm Smooth Talker who was clearly enjoying his weekend. He opened with Best of Breed in Ring 1, followed it up with another Best of Breed in Ring 2, and apparently decided that was a pretty good routine to stick with and continued the pattern all weekend for a clean sweep of the Best of Breed.

After putting the oh-so-well-behaved boys up and getting some rest we started day two with SilverFire Eases My Mind earning reserve, but it was once again SilverFire Bobby Joe continuing her impressive weekend with another Best of Breed in Ring 3. SilverFire My Pride Says came back after collecting reserves through the weekend and earned not only a Grand and milking leg for herself but a Best of Breed in the final ring.

The junior girls closed out the weekend with SilverFire The VIP earning grand, with SilverFire Betty Jo Thelma Liz rounding out the last grand of the weekend.

It was a weekend full of strong performances from the entire SilverFire crew. Pez and Aces Never Lie both finished their championships, Bobby Joe had an outstanding run that included multiple Best of Breed wins and a Best in Show, the juniors continued to step up, and Smooth Talker swept Best of Breed Buck all weekend.

Brownwood was a great time and we appreciated spending it with good friends. Everybody is home, settled back in, and ready for the next one.

While our fall show season is rapidly coming to a close, this last weekend the SilverFire crew again made the trip to Amarillo for the Tri-State Fair & Rodeo, where we faced storms, questionable fair midway dilemmas, and as always some tough competition.

SilverFire Three Dollar Wells kicked off the junior show, coming out with a Reserve in ring 1 and then stepping up to take Grand in ring 2.
Dollar then lead her sisters into group classes where she was joined by SilverFire Honkeytonk Bar and SilverFire Jim Beam to earn a first place Get of Sire win for CH SilverFire C. Jinks. The Breeders Trio came home with another first place with SilverFire Three Dollar Wells, SilverFire Susie Q, and SilverFire Offend the Censors rising to the top. First place Produce of Dam was earned when GCH SilverFire Troubles I Forgot little girls, SilverFire Offend the Censors and SilverFire Hold My Own joined forces for a beautiful group class.

C**t kicked the milkers off when he stepped up leading SilverFire My Pride Says to a Reserve win in the youth show, but it was SilverFire Mockingbird Sings who stole the open show. At just 24 days into the two year old class and less than two months in milk, she earned Grand in both ring 1 and ring 2 against some serious competition from both our own grown girls and other herds beautiful does. GCH SilverFire Dance The Tide 3*M and GCH SilverFire Bad Clowns 3*M backed her up bringing home Best Nubian Udder honors for each of them! The highlight of classes was our ring 2 lineup for best udder, in which every age class represented was a homebred doe from yearling clear to the challengers.

Not to be overshadowed in group classes by those teenie-boppers, the milkers brought their game faces with a first place Get of Sire with +*B GCH Woest-Hoeve SR Ace represented by SilverFire Dance The Tide, SilverFire Wh***ey Drowns and SilverFire Raindrop.
Dairy herd 1st place group was SilverFire Dance The Tide, SilverFire Bad Clowns, SilverFire Mockingbird Sings, and SilverFire Bobby Joe.
We continued the streak with not one but two produce of dam groups, daughters of SilverFire Up For A Rodeo; SilverFire Raindrop and SilverFire Latigo, who edged out the second place daughters of SilverFire Challenge Me; SilverFire My Pride Says and SilverFire Dance The Tide.

It was a great Amarillo weekend for the SilverFire crew. And when we were not making new friends, reminiscing with long time friends, or playing in the mud to get our trailers out (if you were there you know!) we had quite a goat show between all the excitement!

So proud of this little first freshener. CH SilverFire Latigo kidded September 10th 2025 with a single doeling. She finished her championship in May and has just continued right on through this aweful summer heat and is now on day 375 of her first freshening lactation. Shown this morning in her working clothes with 13.5hrs of milk. Latigo's littermate sister, Play the Game, who freshened her first time in Dec, is also hanging out working off her summer, as well as their older maternal sister, Raindrop. Family tradition runs strong in these genetics ❤️🤎🖤

Last weekend the SilverFire crew made the short 250 mile trip to the Carter County show.

Silverfire Mockingbird Sings continued to prove herself coming out of the 2 year old class to earn a reserve ribbon. But she just couldn’t match the maturity in ring to when SilverFire Raindrop earned her own reserve ribbon. We are proud of these girls, making the trip to Mississippi, then make the short turn around make the trip the very next weekend and be this competitive. Our short senior show was wrapped up with SGCH SilverFire Sippin Liquor 3*M winning Best Udder nubian in ring 1.

Our Juniors did a great job through the classes, but it was SilverFire Mississippi, in her very first show, who rose to the the top and earned her junior leg with grand in ring 1. And we absolutely understand the humor in leaving Mississippi home when we traveled to Mississippi. Ring 2 SilverFire the VIP earned her reserve. This young beauty is knocking on the door, and we are excited to watch her continue to grow.
The girls are back home, back to work, happy and healthy and were ready for their weekend off from the roads!

Last weekend the Silverfire crew made the trip to Browsin’ The Pines in Meridian, Mississippi. We had planned to make the treck, but we absolutely had to make it when we heard it was a Nubian specialty show!

The show kicked off and Silverfire Pez, the first milking daughter out of CA Blackberry’s TB Lunar, jumped out of the yearling milker class to sn**ch a grand out from under herdmate Silverfire Like a Diamond, who went Reserve from the 2yo class.

In the Nubian specialty ring, GCH Silverfire Dance The Tide 3M EX90, tangoed her way to a grand prize ribbon, however the Pez and Dance just couldn’t hold off GCH Silverfire Black Rose 3M EX92, who went on to win best Nubian udder and Best of Breed in both rings day one.

For group classes, it was:
+*B GCH Woest-Hoeve SR Ace’s daughters taking first place get of sire.
When it came to milking produce of dam, the Silverfire Challenge Me 2*M daughters earned first place, with the does representing GCH Silverfire One Lone Star 1*M hot on their heels in second place. First place Dairy Herd came home to Silverfire with a strong line up of: GCH Silverfire Dance The Tide 3*M EX90, GCH Silverfire Black Rose 3*M EX92, GCH Silverfire Bobby Joe 3*M, and Silverfire My Pride Says.

Diamond had to wait until the second day, but she went on to earn her “stolen” grand and finish her permanent championship as a two year old second freshener. It was then 2yo Silverfire Mockingbird Sings earned her own first milking leg and Grand. Best Nubian Udder went to Silverfire Bobby Joe 3*M, in both rings day two, Bobby then went on to win Best of Breed, Best in Show, and Best Udder in show in ring 4.

Our juniors were not as excited to make the trip as the milkers were, but, Silverfire Hollywood Boulevard earned a reserve in ring three and Silverfire Selfish Disregard earned a reserve in the Nubian Specialty ring. The Nubian specialty featured a junior get of sire class where first place was taken by Silverfire VIP, Silverfire Hollywood Boulevard, and Silverfire Old Guitars, daughters of CA Blackberry’s TB Lunar. And the special junior jackpot class hosted by the show was handily captured by SilverFire Offend the Censors coming out of her junior retirement stretch for fair season in style and winning some cash for her time.

In the Buck rings our future herdsires stepped up winning all 4 junior grands, two won by Rusty Star Dire Straights, but it was Dkgh Candyman Envy's Sublime and Brass Bell Aco Kryptonite who earned a junior grand then went on to square up with the big boys and grab AOP Reserve Champion rosettes.

It was a long trip, but it was an extremely well run show. We would like to give a huge shout out to the show committee and especially Jason Porter, for not only doing an amazing job but for the cash prizes for showmanship, best in show, and a special junior ring. These prizes allowed us to pay for diesel, food on the road and pay a few entries at the next show!

Our second available buckling is from one of our lesser known-but by no means less- does, GCH SilverFire Last One to Show 2*M and and AI cross back to +*B GCH DKGH Eve's Most Wanted Everson. Both Showtime and Everson have proven invaluable in the foundation of our herd and created some of the most productive, structurally sound, and visually stunning mammaries we have bred. This buckling will boast both GCH SilverFire Hell on Wheels 3*M AND SGCH SilverFire Sippin Liquor 3*M as half siblings. Alas that this little beauty came out a buckling instead of a doeling is our loss and someone's gain. We are asking $XYZ for this boy, scoop him up before I convince the husband I changed my mind.....
