Tlo Wines is a local Bakersfield family-owned business with a love for our community, good wine and bringing people together. Our winemaker, Andy Zaninovich, grew up in Delano and has been in the grape industry his entire life. Andy’s father immigrated from Croatia and in Croatian culture it is traditional for families to make wine in their basement to share with family and friends while they ente

rtain. Andy nostalgically remembers tasting wine from his Uncles’ vats while visiting them in Croatia. To say winemaking has always been in Andy’s blood is an understatement! Working in the grape cuttings industry, selling vines, he had formed great relationships with many growers, which allowed him access to some fantastic fruit! He was the first to encourage Andy to make wine after recognizing he had a passion for it! Andy’s son, Adam, has a chemistry background, a discernible palate, and has always been a crucial part of our winemaking process! Daughter, Avery, Tlo’s Director of Marketing, studied Agri-Business at Cal Poly and has worked in the wine industry since she turned 21! She became a Sommelier 4 years ago and is the reason the Tlo Wines Tasting Room has become what it is today. Together, we are Tlo, and we love being able to share it with you. Today, we open our doors with a little extra care and intention. We have always strived to create a sanctuary at Tlo Wines…a safe, gentle space where everyone feels welcome to take a deep breath, unwind, and just be. We feel the need for that kind of comfort is especially great today, and we want to offer our space to help you heal and decompress after a very heavy, trying day yesterday.🤍
If you need a soft place to land, we are here. Today also marks our first “Wine Members Pick”, our very first visiting member gets to select a special bottle from outside our current tasting list for us to pour all day. And because it’s Wine Member Wednesday, tastings are on us for all members.
We also have live music from 6–8PM to help soothe the soul. No matter how you are feeling today, you are welcome here. Let’s take care of each other. 🫶🏻

| Meet the Tlomies!
Those of you who have stopped in over the past few weeks have probably already had the pleasure of being served by Rory. Hailing from the Paso Robles area, coming out of years of restaurant and tasting room experience, he fits right in behind the bar.
His favorite color is yellow, which tracks because he brings the sunshine with him everywhere, and when it comes to what is in his glass, he is reaching for the Tlo 2020 Reserve Syrah every time (he has excellent taste). For music, he’s a lover of that classic country sound with a little Garth Brooks or Zach Top to set the tone.
When he is not pouring your next favorite glass, you will find him camping under the stars or posted up at baseball games and swim meets cheering on his daughters.
Rory brings knowledge, expertise, and top tier service to every pour, every recommendation, and every conversation and we are seriously lucky to have him.
