It’s been a very busy weekend around here. Kidding season is basically over. All the does have kidded except for one who’s not due until the end of April.

On Saturday Blazin Hot Gilded Honey kidded with twins does from NB Arrow Black Limousine. First came a beautiful solid white doe then 5 minutes later she had a solid black doe both are doing great!

Then on Sunday morning when I went to go feed I noticed NB Arrow Vitreous Honey in labor. I watched her for a few minutes and decided to go eat breakfast but she couldn’t wait and by the time I went back outside she had already had her triplets. 2 does and a buck were on the ground cleaned up and nursing.

A few hours later Castle Rock Tundra gave birth to a single doe. She gave us a little trouble to come out but she’s doing just fine.

Finally today my beautiful Castle Rock Night Frost had a GIGANTIC single buck from Castle Rock Blood Snow. Thankfully he was positioned correctly but he still gave us a bit of trouble. Both mom and baby are doing fine.

It’s been a doe year with 6 doelings and 3 bucks born so if anyone’s looking for some cute wether pets feel free to contact me.

As kidding season approaches I wanted to post that i did get the does bred this year. Castle Rock Blood Snow was used heavily again this year im hoping to get some more doelings out of him this year. Most if not all doelings born this year will be retained, but I will have lots of pet wethers looking for new homes. For now I’m patiently waiting for the does to kid

Our beautiful 3 year old doe Cottonwood Croft OWK Fijii was reserve grand champion senior doe and reserve grand champion Nigerian Dwarf yesterday at the 2021 Kern County fair. Among other highlights our home bred doe Blazin Hot Blue Velvet was reserve junior champion!
