Bakersfield Food Not Bombs has been together since 94, with continuous member changes, serving at Central Park between 19th and 20th street until November 2007, with the new location being Martin Luther King Jr. As of now Bako FNB is asking for your help. We need donations such as food, cooking utensils,kitchen space, garden space and volunteers. If you would like to get more involved let us know

and we will let you know how you can help. FNB serves every sunday, 1 pm at Martin Luther King Jr. California Ave and S. King St.

What a regal-looking bird.
This beautiful Chestnut-coloured Woodpecker was captured by Alfredo Irizarry in Costa Rica.

Both the male and female are bright chestnut-brown overall with a blond, shaggy, slightly wobbly crest. The male has a big red moustache.
