This yearā€™s pepper crop has given us an incredible harvestā€”and when the farm produces more, you get the opportunity to save.

Right now, you can bulk order a bushel of our peppers for just $20. Compare that to peppers selling locally for around $3.99/lb., and one bulk order can put some serious grocery money back in your pocket.

And preserving them couldnā€™t be easier.

Wash. Cut. Remove the seeds. Slice or dice. Freeze.

Freezing naturally softens peppers, making them perfect to grab throughout the winter for soups, chili, sauces, fajitas, eggs, casseroles and more. Youā€™re preserving them at the peak of our season while doing most of your future meal prep at the same time.

Some years give us abundance like this. Some donā€™t. This year, weā€™d much rather see these peppers make their way into your freezer than back into our fields as compost.

Back to school is here and that daily routine of packing lunches has just entered the chat.

Let us make it easier for you. Hereā€™s a few suggestions on a school lunch promoting our local produce and some of our wonderful local vendorā€™s products.

Learning is difficult on a hungry belly.

Set our students up for success with a healthy locally sourced, well-rounded lunch.

This week we rolled out our first line of orders with Roma tomatoes, and now that we have a system in place to provide you quality product - weā€™ve opened the door to more produce in the online store!

To maintain high-quality standards of our produce, our pick up days will be Thursdays and Fridays each week.

Over the years, many of you have asked for an easier way to order from Harvest Valley and for more opportunities to learn what to do with the food we grow.

Weā€™re excited to finally start delivering on both!

For the first time, Harvest Valley Farms is offering online ordering AND hands-on food education opportunitiesā€”and weā€™re starting small on purpose.

Our fields are loaded with beautiful Roma tomatoes, so weā€™re kicking things off with bulk ordering just in time for SAUCE SEASON! šŸ…šŸ„«

For this first round, bulk Roma tomatoes will be the only produce available to order online. This gives us an opportunity to learn what demand looks like, fine-tune the process, andā€”most importantlyā€”make sure the quality you expect from our farm remains our highest priority.
