A male ruby throat hummingbird was working the comfry flowers but too quick to capture a photo. In addition to all the uses for comfry I read the flowers are quite tasty. Fact!A very interesting flavor with a pleasant sweetness. I see why the hummingbird was interested. These will be a great addition to my salads!

We didn't see much of April showers but we have May flowers! Roots run deep. The BlackBerry canes are lovely. The seemingly indestructible rose (despite regular efforts of chemical free control and impressive blood loss) still are beautiful and have wonderful perfume. Several patches of wineberry are done blooming and working towards producing its incredible fruit.
Looking forward to the rain forecast this evening!

I inadvertently kept the yellow bug light burning last night and these are a few who came to check it out. Nature is so abundant in a chemical free environment.
