Big Mama with last year's calf. I'd say they favor a little.

Pineywoods covering some not so great "pastures".

Cows are grazing this field of broomsedge and staying in decent shape. I clipped it to the ground about 4 weeks ago to keep it vegetative. They actually do pretty good on it, as long as it's fresh growth and actively growing. No rain for about a month and arount 100 deg, broomsedge loves this and gives my better pastures time to recover.

This is Daria. She's a yearling heifer. She has the typical Broadus color and pattern I want to keep in the herd the best I can.

Cows in the creek bottom silvopasture. Plenty of shade and grass.

I've decided to get her back working where she belongs.

This is a MF 50 that has been on the farm as long as I can remember. It was parked about 7 years ago under a pecan tree when I brought my tractor here from Arkansas.

Well, moved the cows today. As you can see they weren't too excited. They were coming off of plenty of grass and were full for the day. Trying to take it easy on the grass, crazy dry here for spring. Never really got a spring flush. I hear thunder now, suppose to finally get rain.

One of my pregnant cows looked a lot lighter today. Found this guy tucked away in the woods. Of course she had to go with me and oversee things. Both seem to be doing well.
