North 40 Ag has experience planting cover crops on our own farm and work with producers throughout the region to develop customized cover crop mixes and plans. We offer extensive knowledge in cover crops and soil health, passing this experience to our customers. Cover crops have multiple benefits including weed suppression, nutrient cycling, enhanced, biological activity, residue building, reduced compaction, improved soil structure, increased infiltration, greater water holding capacity, reduced erosion, accrue organic matter, and strengthen forage production. North 40 Ag partners with Green Cover Seed to provide producers with over 80 plant species. Our partnership allows us to create a custom mix designed specifically for a producer's soil, cattle integration, farming techniques, as well as current and future goals. North 40 Ag believes education is the foundation of moving agriculture forward. We strive to inform producers and consumers of regenerative agricultural methods available to improve production. Throughout the year, we offer educational opportunities around Montana and Wyoming to provide information about soil health, cover crops, advantages to no-till farming, and integrating livestock into cropping rotations.
