was founded in 1980 by David and Christine Long. Today, Hilltop Ranch is one of the largest privately owned processors of almonds, handling about 30,000 tons annually and shipping to buyers in over 70 countries. With certification by the British Retail Consortium, customers can be assured that Hilltop Ranch complies with global standards for food safety. Hilltop’s almond handling operations are in

tegrated – hulling, shelling, cleaning, grading, sorting, sizing, processing, and in-house logistics. The processing plant was built in 2002 and expanded in 2006. A new processing line with Sortex Z+ and Best X-ray technologies was added in 2008. In 2013, Satake Evolution sorting technology was implemented in the sizing plant, to be followed by a new generation vacuum steam pasteurization process. Products include in-shell, whole natural kernels (both organic and conventional) and manufactured almonds (sliced, slivered, splits, diced, etc.). Goods are packed to order, and shipped in cartons, bags, bins, or SuperSacks™. Customers are supported with technical information, market news, and other assistance. At Hilltop Ranch, we work hard to understand our customers’ quality requirements, and to provide timely shipment and accurate documentation. Export customers are served with direct shipment from the West Coast (USA), or in some cases, through exclusive distributors or select bonded warehouses abroad.
