These two bucklings were held back from going to market as they showed to much promise early on. The all white one is a 100% NZ Kiko and the multicolored one is a PB Kiko. Both as well as a few doelings are coming available. These bucklings were both born 12/10/2025 and the does all in mid December. Closed herd always has been.

We are all wrapped up on the 2025/2026 Kiko kidding season. We will be offering these two bucklings that we picked out as well as approximately 10-15 doelings. All are around 3.5 months old at this time. The white buck is a pure 100%NZ and the other is a purebred PB. The does are a mixture but most are all PB. All are from a closed proven herd. Message us for info if interested.

Well the last 4 weeks have been busy. We did the 60 day vaccines followed by 3 straight weekends where we worked goats (cutting their feet, deworming if necessary). About 30 Nannie’s at a time. Then Sunday we gave 90 day vaccines, weaned all the kids and split them. Moved the doelings into their summer pen. We will eventually sell some of them. This morning I dropped 50 bucklings at the market along with 5 cull Nannie’s. And I held back 2 bucks that show some serious potential. Now we can take a breather and start the evaluation process and start getting ready for this summer breeding season.

Every year a few bucklings catch my eye. I always hold a few back as we usually keep one per year to use and once we settle on one we will offer the rest for reassignment to another ranch to sire their own herds. They are looking really good this year. All of these are around 70 days old.

All of these kids are 60-75 days old currently. We will give all of them a vaccination and a drench for parasites this weekend. They are looking pretty good at this point.

I shot this the afternoon after the storm last weekend. Such a different look when snow is present.

Oh and forgot to mention that we had one of the last if not the last nanny expecting dropped a kid in 8* on Sunday early morning and she had her all cleaned up and doing well. We moved her to where this picture was taken to give them some heat and privacy. A little mini me!

Day 3 Monday. We are warming up some. We did loose two more kid goats overnight. Total of 3 throughout this event all suffocated. We went out and about the ranch yesterday and checked on everything. Only 30* but sun was out and it felt great. I believe the worse is behind us and we sure needed the moisture.

Day 2 of the storm. Lost one kid goat overnight due to being suffocated/smushed all else looks good. It has been down into the single digits at night and windy not to mention the ice and snow. We added bedding to the 16 shelters that house the mommas and kids. We also feed 2x a day during the cold spell. We installed freeze misers on all 7 water troughs as well as put extra bales of hay out for them as well. The storm has passed now just a few more days of frigid temps as we slowly warm up. There is only so much we can do.
