I’ve been eyeing the frittata breakfast sandwich (clearly I’m not alone) from Cardona’s Market all summer and finally got one. It’s has house-made Italian sausage, provolone, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, spinach and Italian herbs on a hard roll. Like all of their sandwiches, they knocked it out of the park with this one. Better get there early though because once they’re gone, they’re gone.

I’ve been on the hunt for good Indian food and grabbed takeout from Spice Malabar. I went with the tried and true chicken tikka masala and samosas, but really wish I added on naan and one of their tandoori dishes. If you’re looking to sample several things off of their menu, they offer a lunch buffet everyday which is a great opportunity to have something new or indulge in a bunch of different things. Can’t wait to go back and try it! If you’ve been, let me know what you would recommend.

We had a wonderful family style meal at Harvest On Fort Pond. It’s been a local favorite for over 30 years and has a beautiful outdoor area with lush flowers and plants. The inside dining area is nice too and has plenty of water views. The calamari, bolognese, seafood platter and chicken Milanese were some of our favorites and you can’t go wrong with a Vesper.

We had an incredible meal at Kindred - 84 Henry Street and I can’t recommend the griddled corn bread highly enough. We also tried the Brussels sprout and frisée salad along with the lemongrass chicken with crispy fried rice and loved both.

For a cocktail I enjoyed the Pink Cadillac which was gin, pink peppercorn, lime and club soda. A nice added bonus was that the North & South Dakota’s were playing and they’re great! Perfect spot if you want something off Broadway.
