There's just no way to fit the worth of a nurse into just a week. You simply can't put their worth in gifts or in words. They are without a doubt invaluable, irreplaceable, priceless human beings who'll never know their full impact on this side of heaven.
They are yelled at, cussed at, spit on, ee on, hit, kicked, and taken for granted. They endure long hours on their feet amid all kinds of illness, without hesitation. They face the impatient, angry, and heartbroken on a daily basis. They see death entirely too often and still have to keep going.
They press in and get it done in spite of the wearing down they feel. And they do it all with a smile wrapped in comfort from a genuine place of love for people. They've faced the torment that is this Covid season and have done it gracefully in the face of the difficultly.
I've never seen a strength like I see in these men and women day in and day out. They are inspiring and they've changed my life!
