Baltimore Free Farm Please contact us at [email protected] In an egalitarian collective, we do our best to create an environment where everyone is valued equally.

Baltimore Free Farm is an egalitarian collective of farmers, activists, and learners stewarding an urban green space, practicing resource-sharing, and co-creating a peaceful place for all. Baltimore Free Farm is an egalitarian collective of gardeners and activists who aim to provide access to healthy food for all. We believe that hierarchical systems of organizing are damaging to our lives, our mi

nds and our relationships. We value the input of all collective members and encourage honest discussion. Our decision making process is consensus-based and we allow the voices of all members to be heard. We manage several garden spaces that grow food, build soil and enhance biodiversity. We are SO excited to share that the The Baltimore Seed Commons’ Free Community Seed Cabinet is now open to the public!!

This cabinet is a seed library. All seeds in this cabinet are 100% free, and we invite our community to donate seeds to the seed cabinet via the donation bin on top of the cabinet (instructions on the donation process will be covered in another post!)

Seeds are our beloved living relatives, and we have a responsibility to care for them—just as they take care of us. This seed cabinet is a step toward community seed sovereignty as we tend to our seed relatives in relationship and share them with one another.

LOCATION & ACCESS: The Seed Cabinet is located on the second for of St. Luke’s Church on the Avenue (800 W. 36th St.). Enter the church from the main entrance on 36th St., then immediately turn left and walk up the flight of stairs. Turn left at the top of the stairs, and the seed cabinet will be on your left! See the video in slide 4 for directions! Unfortunately, the seed cabinet is not accessible by elevator. If you need assistance accessing the seeds, please email [email protected] and someone will help get seeds to you!

HOURS: The seed cabinet is open whenever St. Luke’s is open. Although there are not set hours, you may refer to the calendar at www.churchontheavenuehampden.org/ to see when there are community events at the church (this is when the church is most likely to be open).

Please feel free to dm us or email us at [email protected] with any questions!

We have rooms open!

$480-580/mo includes: utilities & internet; onsite laundry; access to multiple common spaces (kitchens, bathrooms, lounge areas, yards, gardens); easy parking; light rail, The Avenue, and a public pool all 2-3 blocks away; community-minded housemates and activities; and even some free food!

At the moment we're open to straightforward rentals that don't carry any community responsibilities, but ideally we seek to add new members to the co-op who'd be active in community life and mutual aid.
