👻 RYES UP: A Night of Boos and Booze 🥃 !!! Costumes are highly encouraged 🎃 Join 15 of Baltimore’s best bartenders this Halloweekend (Oct 30th) to Ryes Up against Cystic Fibrosis!! Link in comments!

Ryes Up is a cocktail event, a food event, a cocktail competition, a silent auction and most importantly, a charitable fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of MD.

The BBG is happy to be hosting ""Ryes Up"" in 2022. This year we'll be at the Sagamore Pendry We'll have some of the most creative bartenders in Baltimore mixing up exciting rye cocktails from 5 regionally local distilleries. Those distilleries are , , , , and . This year we will also have a Spirit Free cocktails station by Spiritless Non-Alcoholic Spirits, along with local beer and wine. And we always have a non-rye whiskey station for those that want something other than rye whiskey.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an inherited disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs, digestive system and other organs in the body and there is currently no cure for this disease.

Proceeds from this event go to the to help in the continual research and development for a cure.

We believe women. We believe survivors. We do not tolerate abuse in the workplace in any form. Over the past few weeks some horrific allegations of assault and sexual abuse in our industry have come to light and the stories have continued coming to the surface. As an industry organization which aims to elevate our community and protect those within it, we wish to be clear on this point. We stand with survivors. As a response to the light being shed on these traumas we are taking the time as an organization to compile resources, organize trainings and review our code of conduct to ensure that we do not shelter abusers within our organization. We will be posting updates in the weeks to come to share opportunities for trainings and resources as we have them confirmed.

Yesterday we lost not only a Guild member, but an outstanding member of our community, a talent in our industry, and a friend - whose beautiful soul and kind nature will always be remembered fondly by everyone he crossed paths with.

Bryan was a team member at local favorite, Dutch Courage. Today Dutch shared their remembrance of Bryan. “We realized that besides being an incredibly dedicated worker, he was a wonderful human being with a huge heart and a passion for life. Bryan was always ready with jokes, some Juice Wrld, and a good time. It has been our pleasure to see Bryan grow and develop into an even more passionate bartender than he already was.”

Dutch Courage adds “In the coming days we will share plans for his memorial service and a fundraiser in memorial of Bryan.” Which we will happily share here as well.

Please keep Bryan, his friends & family, and our community in your thoughts at this time.
