Paratha Roti pronounced (pa-ra-ta ro-tee) is also known as Buss-Up-Shot. Roti is a flat dough almost like a soft tortilla. Buss-Up-Shot is one of the various types of roti we make in Trinidad. It is called buss up shot because of its texture, appearance and similarity to a torn (burst) t-shirt. Get it buss up /burst, shot /shirt lol.....Anyhoo it is eaten with side dishes (curry meats, potatoes, chick peas etc), rather than placing the fillings inside.

Ok so to get the full caribbean experience im gonna show u how we eat it. put your fork down, break a piece of the roti and dip it into your sides, Yes we are gonna be eating with our hands!!!

Gm Tummiers!!! Just wanted to post an update to Tummy Yummys menu. Coming soon (2 - 3 wks) Roti. Shown below Paratha Roti or Buss-up-shut, and Dhalpourie Roti served with Curried meats, potatoes, veggies, mangoes. Will keep you posted. Good eating!!!

Grilled Fish/Chicken Sandwiches on sale Friday served with jerk mayo, lettuce and tomatoes on freshly made straight out of the oven Coco bread. $6 Place your orders by Thursday noon. Happy eating!!!!!!

Hey Tummy Yummiers!!!!! If you didn't get a dinner last week apparently you missed it. I got sooooo much love my phone was blowing up with compliments. I guess I was in the zone / sweet spot. Thank you very much it validates my love for cooking.

Anywho... as a result we had new members join our tummy yummy fam. I want to send mad love to the teachers of Windsor Hills Elementary. Thank you and welcome. They loved the food so much they asked for a repeat this Fri. So I'll be in the kitchen tomorrow.
