Moroccan Mix! Slow roasted mix of figs, dates, raisins, pecans, walnuts scented with cardamom and combined with seeds and grains, no ginger, for a luscious mellow flavor! Sourcing ingredients: Premium ingredients are a must; whole ingredients without processing and added preservatives are a requirement. When I can find something local, like Maryland Maple Syrup, it’s a bonus. I hope to get some local sunflower seeds and rolled oats into the mix later in the fall following their harvest. Sampling dried fruits, nuts and seeds is necessary to select the highest quality ingredients. Specific purveyors of Michigan dried tart cherries, organic coconut flakes, crystallized baby ginger root, large, plump raisins, golden flax seeds and organic oats are essential to the quality of Woot! arrived: I am an avid baker and my older daughter Sasha suggested I try baking up some granola. I searched for recipes that would be low in added fats and sweeteners, and began to add and subtract ingredients and change ingredient proportions. Increasing the amount of nuts, seeds and fruits and reducing the quantity of grains boosted Woot!’s flavor, sumptuous mouth feel and nutritional value. Sasha shared it with her friends and I began to serve it alongside our cheese plate when entertaining. Friends and family asked me to serve it constantly, and then urged me to bake enough to sell. I gave a bag, along with my husband’s homemade bread, to a special friend, who is a marvelous chef, caterer and restaurateur, when she went to visit her daughter and newborn grandchild. She noted she had never had anything like it and it was a must to share with the community! I have been baking and selling by word of mouth and at Union Graze Farmer’s Market and Azafran café ever since. I sample granola everywhere I go, including the NYC Food Fair and have yet to find another granola mix similar to Woot! is unique and distinctive and great to share with and give to friends and family. The pleasure of sharing Woot! with the community: Meeting new people and greeting old friends and acquaintances through Woot! sales is exciting. Enthusiastic responses foster my desire to bake, experiment and develop Woot! for food lovers to savor. Finding a local ingredient, such as the Maryland Maple Syrup produced for over 100 years by the Steyer family in Garrett County, is a treasure. An added bonus is meeting local purveyors of ingredients, delicious and distinctive foods and drinks, and learning as I go. Baltimore is a great community town and I am honored to be engaged with farmers, cooks and chefs who create wonderful Baltimore comestibles, and the curious, avid diners who enjoy them. Benefits of a Small Batch Kitchen: Working with my family has been an essential ingredient to Woot!’s success. My family tests recipes and helps to prep and pack Woot! No aspect of Woot! production is mechanized and the nuts and dried fruits are cut by hand with consideration for perfecting the shapes and textures of Woot! ingredients. My daughter Leah loves sales and prep, and Sasha designs Woot!’s playful and appetizing graphics. My husband Jonathan labels and wraps bags with precision. It is a family affair! After being out of the work force ( I developed museum exhibitions at the Smithsonian, US Holocaust Memorial Museum, Maryland Historical Society and US Botanic Gardens), baking Woot! has been a great new direction and challenge for me. Learning about the community, new foods, local purveyors and events, along with meeting new people and enjoying lots of positive feedback make Woot! a great Small Batch adventure!

I would like to thank , who has been baking WOOT! for about 4 years now. Chris, a CIA trained pastry chef, really upped the game on our mixes, inventing numerous delicious new mixes, among them Cranberry Molasses and Banana Haze. Thank you Chris 🙏🙏🙏
