Attention Branding Clients:

As of January 1st, 2026, I will no longer be able to get the oral dorm to have on hand. Also for liability and safety purposes, we will only be working with horses sedated by a veterinarian. There are a few reasons for this, including getting to our stops and having a herd of horses being sickly and/or very thin, and even with dorm some horses will still kick. For our peace of mind and safety, we will not work on animals that are not sedated and seen by the vet. With that being said, we will do our best to coordinate with vet appointments for dentals, etc where they will already be sedated. I also have a vet that will come on site to my farm to sedate. I will review pricing to see what we can do to lower our costs elsewhere to make it more feasible for the vets to come out for this as well. Due to these changes, we will not be accepting new clients.

I will continue to design and make irons. Prices for these will remain the same for designs, at $50 each. Please remember I start with sending 3-5 designs, and continue to make changes until you get what you are looking for in an iron. Clear communication on your expectations is key to get your dream brand.

This is something that shouldn't need to be said.. Please do NOT use gasoline as an agent for branding!!

99% alcohol is the safest and proven method. Not only is it used by medical and veterinary professionals, it has science backing it that it is a safe antiseptic. And it has also been proven to work for cooling irons to the temp and transfer cold very well.

Gasoline is harsh even on human skin and can cause issues such as dermatitis, burns, and other skin irritations as well as irritation if it's inhaled.. It's a toxic carcinogen. Horses are a lot more sensitive than people are, and when you brand there's often times that you may find a cut or scrap you didn't know was there.

Let's not forget also that gasoline and metals/compounds can cause chemical burns from a chemical reaction. There is no science proving that gasoline cools and maintains the cold temps needed for freeze branding. Plus it will eat away at your Styrofoam coolers.

Hello Everyone. I hope the new year is treating everyone well so far.

I do have a couple of announcements for the upcoming year. Due to my work schedule and hours increasing, I will not be breeding this year and I will not be taking training horses this year, however I will continue with lessons and coaching at shows. I'm looking forward to getting to more shows and barrel races this year as well as attending more clinics to expand on my knowledge.

For branding clients, unfortunately due to inflation and the costs of everything increasing I will have to increase my prices to $125 per horse and the trip fee will stay the same at $.75 per mile. We likely will not be hosting informational seminars this year, due to most facilities not accommodating high speed internet, seating and screen hooks ups for our demos. As a reminder for designs - I do not charge for these and I work on them as I'm able, however please be mindful that I'm currently working 50-60 hours weeks and teaching lessons on top of it. I'm not meaning to ignore anyone, and if you don't hear back from me in 2-3 weeks please send me a message.

Making a trip from Nekoosa to Menominee WI on Friday May 5th. Anyone need brands done? Brands must be registered and branding is $100 per animal (includes sedation). Need final numbers by Friday April 28th.
