Since 2014, there is no where we would rather be than in the beautiful Texas farm lands seeing firsthand the hard work, dedication and commitment of each farmer to provide some of the very best farm to table produce to our customers. The cantaloupe was just picked in the field in Coyanosa and brought back to the Texas Hill Country on Monday! It just doesn’t get fresher than that. We will be at the Boerne Farmer’s Market! TUESDAY from 4pm to 7pm! There are so many wonderful vendors you won’t want to miss!

You know there’s something special about Pecos Cantaloupe when a customer changes their family’s flight to a later time so they could get some Pecos Cantaloupe to take with them on their flight to Minneapolis today.

As we head west on our last trek to pick up this week’s cantaloupe for the 2026 Pecos Cantaloupe season, what a wonderful reminder of how blessed we are to share some of the best produce from some of our favorite Texas farmers each year to our customers right here in the Texas Hill Country.

1st Pecos Watermelon we have thrown out for the deer. 🍉 They were so confused. It started with one curious deer trying to figure out what it was. Then a couple of her friends decided to be brave from a distance. It’s obvious that they know it is not a cantaloupe, They don’t even hesitate gobbling those right up.

We had to leave for San Antonio to deliver our preorders, so we didn’t get to see what they finally decided. Who thinks it will be completely gone by the time we get back?
