Sometimes Texas stops you right in your tracks. 🌈✨
After a full day of errands, groceries, garden watering, and harvesting, this beautiful rainbow showed up just as a little rain started falling.

There’s something so peaceful about those golden skies after a long day — like the whole evening takes a deep breath. The gardens got a little extra blessing, the air cooled down, and for a moment everything just felt still and beautiful.

Texas skies sure know how to put on a show. 💛🌿

Happy Birthday, Mollie! 🎉🍰🐷🐮🐑

This one was made especially for Mollie and all her beloved farm animals — a classic New York Style Cheesecake, baked smooth and creamy, then decorated with a little farmyard birthday love.

There’s something so special about making a dessert that fits the person, not just the occasion. Mollie’s cheesecake needed to feel happy, sweet, homemade, and full of personality… just like a birthday celebration on the farm. 💛

Wishing Mollie a beautiful birthday filled with love, laughter, good food, and plenty of animal snuggles. 🐾🌸

Today’s little harvest, and I am so grateful. 🌿🍅🥒

After finishing up Sandi’s garden, I came home and picked my own garden too. I’ll be honest… the Texas heat just about got me today, and I had to get myself back inside and cool down. But even on a hard garden day, there is something so special about walking back into the kitchen with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers from your own plants.

Today’s harvest:
🍅 15 tomatoes
🥒 2 cucumbers/pickles

Not a huge basket, but every single one feels like a blessing. 💛

I’m so grateful for my harvest today! 🥒💚

Pickling cucumbers are so funny… they hide under those leaves like little garden secrets, and then all of a sudden — HELLO! There they are, practically waving at you like, “Were you looking for me?” 😂

Every little harvest feels like a gift, especially when it comes from the garden. Fresh, homegrown, and full of possibilities… now I need to decide what these beauties are going to become!

🌽✨ Sweet corn season is officially here… and I have a little kitchen magic to share!

I picked up this beautiful Hondo, Texas bi-color sweet corn from H-E-B, and instead of shucking, pulling silk, and making a huge mess… I’m showing you my favorite easy trick to get the husk AND silk off in one step. It feels like magic every single time.

And then I take it one step further — because in my kitchen, we use every bit of the good stuff. I cut the corn off the cob for the freezer, then turn the cobs into sweet corn stock in the Instant Pot for my creamed corn and future Meals-To-Go.

Fresh Texas corn flavor all year long? Yes, please. 🌽💛

Now I need to know…

Are you a “corn on the cob with butter” person, or do you like your sweet corn cut off the cob and used in recipes?

Drop your favorite way to eat sweet corn in the comments — I may need some new ideas for this Hondo corn!

How special is this? 🇨🇦🍫

A very sweet thank you to my friend Kelly for bringing me chocolate all the way back from Canada!

Kelly was there competing in her Ironman Competition — which is such an incredible accomplishment all by itself — and somehow, in the middle of all the training, travel, nerves, race day, and everything that goes along with an event like that, she still thought of me.

That truly touched my heart. 💛

It’s not just the chocolate, even though this Canada chocolate is beautiful and such a fun treat. It’s the thoughtfulness behind it. She remembered that I would love something special from her trip, and she brought home a little piece of Canada for me.

Kelly, thank you for thinking of me, for being such a kind friend, and for inspiring all of us with your determination and strength. I am so proud of you and your amazing Ironman accomplishment! 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️✨
