2Chicks And A Farm Pantry

Folks have been showing up and dropping off food throughout the day with commitments of more. I don’t know who you are but a HUGE thank you. The attached photo is from those donations.

We’ve also received…drum roll please…$400 in monetary donations, which has been spent on a pick-up order at Walmart some of which will be added to the pantry either this evening or tomorrow morning. Then we will refill over the next few days. We will also be adding fresh chicken and duck eggs and vegetables and melons grown on the farm.

As always, all we ask is to remember that the person coming behind you is in as much need as you are. So, while you may ‘need’ to take more, just take some, so some is available for others, and I promise you we will keep working to keep filling the shelves the best we can.

2Chicks And A Farm Community Pantry

This is what the pantry looks like this morning. I took this photo from England using the installed security camera.

And it breaks my heart.

I would love to place place a large shopping order. But with me in England for nearly three weeks helping my twin sister out (worth more than any amount of money), and Theresa off work due to a fractured knee cap and kidney infection, (plus all the other things I posted in the prayer request), we’re tapped out.

So, if you’re reading this and you can spare something, anything, nothing is too small (or too big - lol). Food and household items or money so we can shop.

Bobtail Kittens - Accepting Reservations

We are accepting reservations for three natural bobtail kittens. Not registered. All female. One grey with medium hair and two tabby, one of which is darker. They are already well socialised and a lot of fun.

They have all been vet checked. They will be vaccinated, dewormed and treated for fleas and ticks.

While delivered in the wild, they have grown up in the house, but they will be spending some time enclosed outside.

Prices are:
- Grey $300
- Tabbies $250

Monies from selling these rarer natural bobtails will help pay for their care to date and that of their sister who was born with a tail. She is totally black and is also up for adoption.

They will be ready for their forever homes around the later part of August.

A few days ago a friend of mine lost a long time friend of theirs to su***de. They talked just days before and there were no big red flags, just the ‘normal’ complaint negatives. Signs? Maybe?

More people than we know have walked that path, that journey. I have, I just didn’t complete it. A failure I’m happy to have made.

I talked with Teresa this morning that I always tell people that, “I’m here for you, 24/7, yet I send 90% of my phone calls to voicemail as 90% of them our scam or robots or sales. But what if one was really important? So, from now on if I truly can answer I will. I apologise in advance to all you trying to earn a living in sales when I hung up on you or get frustrated after trying to listen and aren’t to kind.

We’ll get one with her eyes open, but meet my twin sister Lucy.

Lucy is having knee replacement surgery on Thursday and so I’m here to help her out for a couple of weeks post surgery.

She too has multiple dogs, but they are a little smaller than our lot (spaniels and a dachshund).
