Our Dry-Aged Standing Prime Rib Roasts are back, and we’re ready to ship tomorrow.

Quantities are limited, and our 5 lb roasts have already sold out!! If you’re planning to serve prime rib for the holidays, we encourage you to order soon while supplies last. Roasts will be listed in our shop as soon as they return from the locker.

Once ordered, all roasts ship frozen on our next shipping day, making it easy to store in the freezer until you’re ready for the holidays. Properly frozen, whole-muscle dry-aged beef maintains its quality for up to a year.

Now that the 2026 Corn silage season is a wrap, we can breathe a thankful sigh of relief. It's always a good feeling to put that project behind us, and we are most thankful for a safe season.

Corn silage is the most important ingredient in our dairy cow's daily feed ration. We chop the whole corn plant into 2" inch pieces , haul it back, and pack it into a large pile. Ira and friends repeatedly drive heavy tractors over the pile to pack it as tightly as possible and push out the oxygen.

This creates the right environment for naturally occurring bacteria to ferment the corn into, producing acids that preserve it and prevent spoilage.

We cover our pile with 2 layers of plastic and also use recycled tire sidewalls to hold everything down and keep the air out.

It'll ferment for several months before it’s ready to feed. When we eventually uncover it and feed it a little bit at a time, that familiar sweet-and-sour smell is a good sign that the fermentation process worked!

Corn silage season continues. We're thankful for the weather windows to get big sections, but the season has been a little longer than we expected.

We are hopeful to be done this weekend. The cornsilage pile keeps growing and soon it'll be plastic and tire time! If you see us on the road, send a wave!

On Wednesday, right in the middle of our Rural Life Day celebration, one of our dairy cows decided it was time.

The Providence Academy students got a lesson no textbook can teach, and the calf arrived without problems, definitely a relief for us.
